DANVILLE - Charles E. Lindley, 93, died in the National Nursing Home at noon Saturday. He was a native of Orange County but had lived in Hendricks County since 1919. He had lived with a daughter in Crawfordsville a year, and was a member of the Pittsboro Methodist Church. Surviving are his widow, Anna, a resident of the Ben Hur Nursing Home; a daughter, Mrs. David Wells of Crawfordsville; two sons, Carl and Robert E., both of Rt. 3, Danville; eight grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be at the Gregory Funeral Home in Pittsboro, Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. Burial will be in Odd Fellows Cemetery at Paoli. Friends may call after noon on Monday. The family asks that donations be made to the heart fund in lieu of flowers. - jlr
